U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Monday, in the context of escalating violence between Israel and Palestinians, that it was important that the people of Israel know America’s commitment to their security remains ironclad.
Blinken added, in a news conference after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the U.S. continues to support upholding the status quo at Jerusalem’s holy places.
