Asad Qaiser Dismisses Alleged Talks Between PTI and PPP

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Qaiser has dismissed reports about secret negotiations with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) as baseless and misleading, ARY News reported on Saturday. Qaiser, a former Speaker of the National Assembly, clarified that no discussions had been held with the PPP by him or any other PTI leader.

The senior PTI leader further emphasized that he had made no statements to the media regarding this matter and that party founder Imran Khan had not issued any directives for talks with the PPP. These statements came amid speculation in the media about potential negotiations.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's ruling coalition faced a significant blow after the country's Supreme Court declared PTI eligible for seats reserved for women and minorities. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali reiterated the party's stance, asserting that they do not intend to form an alliance with the PPP and aim to be a robust opposition party.

This development has also seen reactions from the PPP, with senior leader Raza Rabbani expressing strong disapproval of the federal government's moves to ban PTI. Rabbani contended that such prohibitions are against democratic values and urged the government to avoid actions that could heighten political and economic instability in the country.
