Court Extends Judicial Custody of Arvind Kejriwal's Aide

A court in Delhi has extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar until September 13.

Kumar stands accused of assaulting AAP Rajya Sabha MP Maliwal on May 13 at the chief minister's official residence. Judicial Magistrate Gaurav Goyal ordered the extension after Kumar appeared via video conferencing.

The magistrate also called for a response from the investigating officer regarding Kumar's plea for better organization of the chargesheet and documents.

Kumar's defense lawyer, Rajat Bhardwaj, argued that the documentation needed to be properly organized to facilitate the defense case. The Delhi Police has filed a comprehensive 500-page report against Kumar, including charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code such as 201, 308, 341, 354, 354B, 506, and 509.
