The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has announced an immediate merger and renaming of 60 civic body schools, according to an official order released on Friday.
The order instructs all zonal deputy directors of education (DDE) and assistant directors of education (ADE) to submit compliance reports to the MCD's education department by August 20. Additionally, officials must submit proposals for transferring and adjusting surplus and non-teaching staff for approval from the competent authority.
The order, dated August 5, 2024, was issued by the MCD Commissioner and includes a list of 30 schools across 12 zones that will be merged with 30 other schools. Among them, Tughlakabad No.2 Boys-II school will merge with Tughlakabad No.2 Boys I school, and D-Block New Friends Colony Urdu co-ed school will merge with D-Block New Friends Colony Hindu co-ed school.
