Malegaon Blast Case: Call for Accountability Amidst Acquittals

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan criticized the central government and National Investigation Agency for failing to present substantial evidence in the Malegaon blast case, which resulted in the acquittal of all seven accused due to unreliable evidence.

Chavan dismissed the use of 'saffron terror,' linking saffron to revered figures and questioned its implication in terrorism. He emphasized that terrorism has no religion and demanded the government find the real culprits.

The court, highlighting loopholes, directed the state to compensate victims' families. Meanwhile, BJP figures demanded an apology from those who propagated 'saffron terror' narratives after the verdict.
