DOMA Rally Cancelled Over Permission Denial

DOMA Rally Cancelled Over Permission Denial

The Confederation of Dalit, OBC, Minorities, and Adivasi Organisations (DOMA Parisangh) has cancelled its planned rally on November 30 at Ramlila Maidan following the Delhi Police's refusal to grant permission. The police cited concerns over the likely large turnout and potential public-order issues.

DOMA national chairman and former MP Udit Raj announced that the permission was revoked after a BJP member filed a complaint about the rally's theme. The complaint alleged that the event might be 'divisive' and send an 'inappropriate message'.

Raj asserted that DOMA is a non-political organization focused on raising awareness about constitutional issues. Despite the setback, the group plans to hold a Constitution oath ceremony and remains committed to organizing a larger rally in the future.
