In a significant security operation, forces on Thursday unearthed a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing approximately three kilograms in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials.
The operation, backed by specific intelligence inputs, was launched in the Kakora village within the jurisdiction of the Manjakote police station. During the search, the alleged explosive was found in a nearby forest.
The Bomb Disposal Squad confirmed the device as a suspected IED and neutralized it through a controlled detonation, officials reported, showcasing a successful preemptive action against potential threats.
