Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to miss the remainder of the season due to surgery on a thigh muscle injury, according to a statement from the Premier League club on Tuesday. The 25-year-old winger sustained the injury during Forest's Europa League quarter-final victory against Porto last Thursday.
The club confirmed in a statement, 'Callum Hudson-Odoi suffered an injury to his right quadriceps muscle. Following further specialist consultation, the winger has undergone surgery and will begin rehabilitation immediately with our medical staff.' He is expected to return to full training in the pre-season period.
As the Premier League season heats up, Forest currently sits 16th with 36 points, marginally above the relegation zone. They are slated to visit Sunderland on Friday before their Europa League semi-final faceoff against Aston Villa on April 30.
