Tenure Extension for Chhattisgarh DGP Ashok Juneja

In a recent development, the tenure of Chhattisgarh Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Juneja has been extended by six months, an official confirmed.

Juneja, an Indian Police Service officer from the 1989 batch, was initially due to retire this Sunday but will now serve until February 3 next year. This extension was sanctioned by the Chhattisgarh government under the All India Service (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules and received the necessary approval from the Union government.

Juneja assumed the role of acting DGP on November 11, 2021, and was promoted to full-time DGP on August 5, 2022.
