The Delhi Police has apprehended a 22-year-old youth, identified as Mukesh Kumar, for the alleged murder of Mukesh Saha in Bihar's Saharsa. Kumar was found hiding in Chandni Chowk, officials said on Sunday.
Mukesh Kumar stands accused of slitting Saha's throat on May 25 because Saha was reportedly having an affair with Kumar's cousin’s sister, authorities confirmed. Ramanand, one of Kumar’s accomplices, is already in the custody of Bihar Police.
The arrest followed a tip-off received on September 5, leading to a raid in Chandni Chowk where Kumar was caught and interrogated. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Manoj Kumar Meena stated that during questioning, Kumar admitted to the murder, carried out with associates Ramanand, Rajhul, and Chandan, while en route to a wedding.
