Fortis Healthcare's Robust Growth: Profit Surges 57% in Q1 FY26

Fortis Healthcare announced a significant 57% increase in its profit after tax, reaching Rs 260 crore for the first quarter of FY26, compared to Rs 166 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The healthcare provider's revenue jumped to Rs 2,167 crore, up from Rs 1,859 crore, with growth observed across both its hospital and diagnostic sectors, according to the company's statement on Wednesday.

In a strategic move, Fortis expanded its presence through an O&M services agreement with Gleneagles India and completed an acquisition of Shrimann Superspecialty Hospital, enhancing its capacity in the Punjab region by approximately 1,000 beds. CEO Ashutosh Raghuvanshi highlighted ongoing brand-building efforts and future growth momentum in their diagnostics business.
